The 15th GCA Award Ceremony Convenes at Seoul National University, Honoring 12 Distinguished Laureates
The 15th Global Chinese Achievers Award (GCA Award) Global Tour Ceremony was held at Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, on June 20, 2026. The ceremony honored 12 distinguished laureates across the fields of public welfare, culture, arts, and commerce.
Among the recipients:
Mr. Xue Rongxing, Founding President and Permanent Honorary President of the Korean Chinese Association for the Peaceful Reunification of China, Founding President and Permanent Honorary President of the General Association of Chinese Nationals in South Korea, and former President and current Honorary President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Korea, was awarded the 15th GCA Award Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Yu Chengde, Chairman of Huaqing Group (South Korea), President of the Federation of Korean Chinese Associations for the Peaceful Reunification of China, and President of the General Association of Chinese Nationals in South Korea, received the 15th GCA Award Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.
Mr. Wang Haijun, Chairman of Hanjiang Media Group (South Korea), Executive President of the Federation of Korean Chinese Associations for the Peaceful Reunification of China, and Director of the Seoul Huazhu Center, was honored with the 15th GCA Award Social Public Welfare Award.
Mr. Jiang Kai, a Chinese American, Founder and Chairman of Dragon Fund (China Hedge Fund) and Founder and Chairman of Kai Capital, was presented the 15th GCA Award Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.
Mr. Wan Jie, Founder and Chairman of Artron Cultural Group (China), received the 15th GCA Award Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.
Professor Ding Yi, world-renowned tenor, Principal Tenor of the Sydney Opera House (Australia), Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Vocal Music Department of the China Conservatory of Music, was awarded the 15th GCA Award Artistic Achievement Award.
Ms. Wang Jiayao, a prominent Chinese Canadian community leader, philanthropist, and Founder of Beta Education, was honored with the 15th GCA Award Social Public Welfare Award.
Mr. Xue Suli, a U.S.-based internationally acclaimed violinist, music educator, and Honorary Citizen of Harbin, received the 15th GCA Award Artistic Achievement Award.
Mr. Chen Liangzhong, internationally renowned environmentalist, Founder of “Operation Earth,” and expert for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), was bestowed the 15th GCA Award Operation Earth Public Welfare Special Grand Award.
The 2026 GCA Award International Planet Award was presented to Mr. Yoo Hee-sung (Professor Liu Xisheng), a renowned South Korean musical and dance drama director, and Ms. Yoon Mira (Professor Yin Meiluo), a celebrated South Korean national treasure dance artist and dance educator.

Pang Yan, prominent Chinese Canadian community leader and Chairman of the Chinese Business Foundation;
David, Founder of Canada’s Blue Ribbon Charity Fund;
Professor Ryu Kyung-hwa, Professor at Korea National University of Arts, world-class musical ensemble director, and Vice President of the Korea Traditional Arts Academy;
Yu Taijun, 14th President of Seoul Institute of the Arts and distinguished South Korean art educator;
Jin Longhao, Professor at Pusan National University and President of the Korean Gayageum Music Association.
M. L. SUPAB, a member of the Thai Royal Family and recipient of the 2025 International Planet Award, and Dr. Rajendra Shende, 2007 Nobel Peace Prize laureate (as part of the IPCC team), Former Director of the UNEP Paris Office, and renowned Indian environmental scientist, each delivered special video messages to extend their heartfelt congratulations to the laureates.
The 15th GCA Award Ceremony was strongly supported by the Federation of Korean Chinese Associations for the Peaceful Reunification of China and Seoul National University. The event was co-hosted by ONE HEUNG KONG, Future Life Art Research Institute, and Cultural Ark Digital Media Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
To date, the GCA Award has successfully held fifteen ceremonies globally, including venues in Beijing, China; San Francisco, USA; University of Sydney, Australia; Sacramento, USA; United Nations Headquarters, New York, USA; Los Angeles, USA; Tokyo, Japan; University of Cambridge, UK; Shanghai, China; Shenzhen, China; Macau, China; St. Francis University, Hong Kong, China; and Seoul National University, South Korea. It remains the sole international award with a global touring ceremony, having honored 113 Chinese laureates worldwide and seven international recipients of the GCA Award International Planet Award.
The GCA Award plays a pivotal role in shaping the image of the Chinese nation, disseminating the spirit of the Chinese people, and advancing Chinese culture on the international stage.
